Leaf Spring is certified to the ISO 9002: 1994, and QS 9000 Quality Systems . The Company Manufactures leaf spring assemblies as per specifications laid down by International Standards
like BSS, SAE , etc to meet the rigorous specifications laid by the various vehicle manufacturers. The company enforces strict quality control at every stage, by maintaining a quality systems manual and procedure , where the various quality control procedures are laid down right from inspection of incoming raw material.

ISO 9002 and QS9000 Certified bought out components, to in process controls and the finished product. The raw material is inspected heat wise to ensure the quality of material for mechanical as well as metallurgical parameters, including chemical analysis and macro etching in a well equipped laboratory. The material after Heat treatment is once again tested for tempered martensite structure and surface decarburisation by micro etching. ILS adopts a stringent Quality Control System for incoming inspection of Raw Materials and other Bought Out Components such as Center Bolts, Nuts, Spring Eye Bushes etc. All our out sourced material is procured from highly reputed Vendors. In process controls are designed to ensure product quality at every stage of manufacture. Stringent in process control ensures that manufacturing activities are carried out effectively and without disruptions. Every single work area has documented work instructions and is inspected accordingly.

The finished springs are checked for load rate on a sample basis. A Load Testing machine ensures that the springs are manufactured to withstand certain loads in accordance with the specifications laid down in the original drawing.

The springs are further subjected to an endurance test on an Endurance Testing machine to determine the fatigue life of the spring. A fatigue life of 1,00,000 cycles is considered adequate and represents a life of 1,60,000 kms on ‘ON HIGHWAY’ operation.
